Intake Coordinator – Trilingual English, Mandarin, Cantonese

Looking for two full time staff to work either in Brooklyn or Flushing, able to speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Greet, communicate with, welcome and redirect guests
  • Answer incoming calls, accurately redirect them to appropriate parties when necessary
  • Answer common customers' questions
  • Address, resolve or report customers’ complaints
  • Contact patients and assist them in applying for Managed Long Term Care
  • Extensive phone and email communication daily
  • Verify eligibility and benefits of all Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Managed Care Insurances utilizing websites available or making direct phone calls to Insurance companies.
  • Issue and send referrals to insurance companies for processing
  • Data entry of new case and closely monitor progress of referral
  • Follow up authorizations
  • Build and maintain good relationship with community partners
  • Adhere to Medicaid and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be able to speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese fluently (Spanish a big plus)
  • Great patience, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pleasant and friendly manner and customer-oriented mindset
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Familiar with Medicaid and MLTC eligibility, including ePaces, restriction codes, CFEEC transfer forms, Maximus procedures, and MLTC enrollment.
  • Knowledge of HHAexchange software system a plus
  • Hands on experience with office machines such as printer, scanner, fax, etc.
  • Computer and internet savvy; knowledgeable and skilled with MS Office Suite (especially Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Skilled with Adobe PDF editing
  • Strong sense of responsibility and fast responder
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with good time-management skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • 1 year or more experience as Intake Coordinator or similar role preferred
  • Type 45+ words per minute
  • High School diploma or higher preferred.

Billing Specialist

Seeking two full-time staff to fulfill our financial billing needs.

Job Description

The primary purpose of the Billing Specialist position is to assist in the day-to-day accounting functions of the facility in compliance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to medication, medical equipment, health care and the home healthcare operations as may be directed by the Manager or Controller

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for billing procedures
  • Analyze and familiarize standard medical billing codes
  • Checking patient insurance eligibility and benefits verification
  • Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing system
  • Following up on claims within standard billing cycle time frame and Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in pending if necessary
  • Identifying varies insurances company and checking payment for accuracy
  • Researching and appealing denied claims
  • Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting
  • Ability to carry out multiple tasks and to prioritize projects and duties in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work independently, with others, and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft based computer applications such as Words, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Speak English fluently, Mandarin or Cantonese a plus
